Sr Director Analyst

Chris Pang is a Senior Director Analyst in Gartner's Technology CEO team and Gartner Vendor Lead for Oracle.

As part of the Tech CEO practice his research is focused on product strategy, customer acquisition and corporate development. In addition Mr. Pang covers Human Capital Management (HCM) and ERP technologies working across Gartner's end-user, vendor and investor client base. He also leads Gartner's global coverage for employee expense management software and technology trends for recognition and rewards software.

As Gartner Vendor Lead for Oracle, he is responsible for the internal curation and external communication of Gartner's overall position on Oracle. This involves leading Gartner's Vendor Rating research on Oracle and sign off for Gartner Research including Oracle. E.g. Magic Quadrants, Critical Capabilities, Market Share and other reports.

From 2017-2020 he was Gartner Vendor Lead for Workday, where he was similarly responsible for crafting and coordinating Gartner's research position on Workday.

Previous experience

Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Pang worked at BTexact Technologies, researching security technologies used in mobile and wireless communications.
