Chris Poole is the Managing Vice President leading the Supply Chain Strategies, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Planning teams. The Strategies team covers combination of functional research and advice in areas like Manufacturing, Logistics and Customer Fulfillment and also focuses on what's important for Chief Supply Chain Officers. Here, the team is building a bank of research and advice on areas like Customer Experience, Cost Optimization and Supply Chain Digitalization. The PLM team focuses on research and advice on all aspects of Product Lifecycle Management including New Product Introduction and SKU Portfolio Management. This team also covers how Packaging is important for Supply Chain leaders - particularly in how it is used to optimize cost and support e-commerce and corporate social responsibility initiatives. The Planning team focuses on research and advice in demand and supply planning and within that their execution through Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP). Specifically, the team provides research and advice on supply chain planning maturity, process discipline, S&OP transformation, metrics and organization.
Mr. Poole himself focuses on customer service, hierarchy of metrics and the supply chain of the future. He can also address aspects of supply chain planning and S&OP.
Mr. Poole has over 31 years of experience in supply chain and sales in consumer products, retailing and consulting. In his previous roles, he has had both leadership and functional responsibility for customer logistics, customer service centers, order to cash, large-scale physical distribution operations, demand and supply planning, sales and operations planning (S&OP), network design and project management.
