VP Analyst

Chris Silva is a Vice President, Analyst helping Gartner clients tasked with Digital Workplace programs. He draws on two decades of experience analyzing technology markets and providing strategic advice to clients to advise technology investments that yield positive business outcomes.

Chris's research and advisory support clients making investments in Unified endpoint Management (UEM) strategies to support hybrid and remote work, enable BYOD, modernize PC management and drive improvements in the Digital Workplace.

Mr. Silva regularly speaks at Gartner events, has been a featured speaker at The Consumer Electronics Show (CES). He is frequently featured in print, radio and television media in outlets including CNN, National Public Radio (NPR) and in trade publications and major print media such as the Wall Street Journal.

He lives and works outside Boston, MA. When not fiddling with one of many pieces of technology littering his home office, he's cooking and trying to spend as much time outside and on the water as possible.

Previous experience

Mr. Silva has covered technology as an analyst in various roles over the past two decades. Prior to his current role at Gartner, he founded and ran his own advisory firm.

His professional background also includes work in designing and conducting primary research projects for companies in private equity markets and, a long time ago, as frontline IT support for a large university.
