Chris Silva is a Research Vice President on Gartner's Endpoint and Workspace Security team focused on the market for endpoint protection and detection technology. Chris's research and advisory support clients making investments in EPP and EDR tooling, securing endpoints and their data and using tools like Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) and strategies such as Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) to improve the ability to get work done anywhere, securely.
Chris's background in advisory, consulting and IT support offer a unique perspective to support Gartner's clients; supporting end-user organizations in choosing and optimizing technology, helping vendors tune products to current market needs and supporting investors to make winning bets in emerging markets.

His professional background includes work in scoping and managing complex, research-backed consulting engagements, conducting primary research to inform strategic private equity investments and running marketing and PR functions for a boutique analyst firm focused on SaaS software.
