Darin Stewart provides guidance on gaining insight from unstructured information and knowledge. His areas of expertise include knowledge management, information architecture, search and insight engines, text analytics and natural language processing, and content services. Dr. Stewart's research and advice are informed by practical experience in Industry and extensive work in academia. He is regarded as an effective communicator in translating complex technologies and concepts into manageable and applicable business solutions.
Prior to joining Gartner, Dr. Stewart was Director of Research and Collaboration Systems for Oregon Health & Science University. He was responsible for research and research administration information systems, web strategies and intranet initiatives. He has been a member of the Applied Information Management faculty at the University of Oregon since 2004. He has served in information management leadership roles for a variety of organizations ranging from internet startups to major universities. He is the author of the book "Building Enterprise Taxonomies."
