Previous experience

Fariba Anderson is a seasoned executive with extensive C-Level experience and over two decades of governance leadership across public, private, and entrepreneurial sectors. Holding the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors, along with CMC and CGEIT certifications, she brings deep expertise in corporate governance, risk oversight, and strategic transformation. Prior to joining Gartner, Fariba held C-Level roles with AcuteNet, Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG), Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC), Allstream, Bell Nexxia, and Compuware UNIFACE in the Netherlands, where she pioneered digital transformation initiatives and delivered measurable business outcomes globally. Fariba has served on 15+ boards and advisory committees since 2000, including Seneca College, St. Joseph’s Health Centre, YMCA of Greater Toronto, Catholic Health Sponsors of Ontario, Dell Software, Teradata, University of Toronto College of Electors, and several venture-backed firms. From 2018–2019, she was appointed by the Treasury Board of Canada to the Department Audit Committee of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and currently serves on the University of Toronto Alumni Association Board of Directors—her alma mater.
