Fred Sotolongo is a Senior Research Director in Gartner for Technical Professionals (GTP) Secure Infrastructure group. Mr. Sotolongo advises clients on cloud security including native provider security controls in IaaS and PaaS, and augmented vendor security capabilities such as Cloud Native Application Protection Platforms (CNAPP), Cloud Workload Protection Platforms (CWPP) and Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM).
Mr. Sotolongo previously worked at Royal Caribbean Group managing Enterprise Security Architecture, and has over 20 years of experience specializing in designing and implementing security technology solutions, including private and public cloud deployments. He has an extensive background in security architecture, leading the implementation of enterprise security across large-scale solutions working in hospitality, technology, and education.
