Jason Chapman is a Practice Vice President within Gartner's IT Sourcing, Procurement & Vendor Management research practice. Here he leads the IT Services practice and the global teams of experts focused on supporting user clients working with vendors to implement or outsource applications and infrastructure.
Prior to his current role, he was part of the Technology and Service Provider practice where he managed a team focused on personal technologies and data centre infrastructure markets.
Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Chapman worked for Alcatel Lucent as a Marketing Manager where he provided assistance to incumbent and new mobile network operators in developing market-entry and longer-term strategies for applications and services.
Before this, he was a product manager within their wireless infrastructure division. Previously, he spent time at Celoxica an FPGA start-up company and worked for Vodafone as a project manager and a network engineer.
He has more than 30 years of experience in the industry, gained from working for an infrastructure supplier, a start-up and communications service provider.
