Jason Chapman is a Managing Vice President within Gartner's IT Sourcing, Procurement & Vendor Management research practise, where he leads a global team of analysts focused on infrastructure and communication services.
Prior to his current role, he was part of the Technology and Service Provider practise where he managed a team focused on personal technologies and data centre infrastructure markets.
Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Chapman worked for Alcatel Lucent as a Marketing Manager where he provided assistance to incumbent and new mobile network operators in developing market-entry and longer-term strategies for applications and services.
Before this, he was a product manager within their wireless infrastructure division. Previously, he spent time at Celoxica an FPGA start-up company and worked for Vodafone as a project manager and a network engineer.
He has more than 30 years of experience in the industry, gained from working for an infrastructure supplier, a start-up and communications service provider.
