Jimmy Chuang is part of Tech Product Management Research Team. Mr. Chuang focus his research on cloud product management and business strategy for technology and service providers. Mr. Chuang can provide cloud market insights, product positioning and go-to-market plan to product teams.
Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Chuang led Cloud and Enterprise Business Group at Microsoft Greater China accountable for Azure cloud growth in Greater China Region (GCR) and define growth strategy to breakthrough GCR market including Azure Public Cloud, Azure Stack Hybrid Cloud, SQL Database, PowerBI, IoT, AI services among others. He refined Azure product strategy to target new high cloud adoption segments as well as strengthened enterprise digital transformation strategy on key industrial verticals: FSI, Manufacturing, Transportation, Retail, Media with MS Azure Data, BI and AI cloud solutions to differentiate from others.
Mr. Chuang was also the AWS China foundation team working with global product team to plan and launch AWS cloud services in China. He built and managed AWS Product Business Development team overseeing all cloud product landing and developing business growth strategy in Greater China region. He developed product positioning and target markets working with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing and partner teams) to drive cloud revenue and ecosystem growth from the scratch.
Mr. Chuang has solid product management experience when he worked in several software companies such as Pivotal (part of VMware) which he initiated new big data product platform and manage the development cycle in agile scrum process. Adopting the new cloud technology trend, he iterated product from on-premise software model to SaaS on public cloud, the first concept of db-as-a-service product.
