Joseph is a Senior Director Analyst in Gartner for Technical Professionals (GTP), Security Technology and Infrastructure group. Joseph main areas of focus are security infrastructure and cloud security. His role is to “help clients navigate the cloud securely”. He advises clients on how to secure their cloud infrastructure by implementing cloud native or third-party security controls. He also provides insights on enterprise security architecture helping clients follow best practices.Joseph has more than 21 years of experience in cybersecurity and technology. He held multiple roles over the years involving network and infrastructure, security operations, cloud security and security architecture. He worked in different industries ranging from banking & financial institution, real estate, manufacturing, retail and higher-education.
Joseph previously worked with Intact Financial Corporation (IFC) as Manager for Cloud Security. He managed and operated a comprehensive suite of cloud security technologies, including Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP), Cloud Workload Protection Platform (CWPP), Cloud Security Posture Management, Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) and Web Application Firewall (WAF). He also ed the security strategy and operations for a complex multi-cloud environment, ensuring robust protection across AWS, Azure, GCP And OCI.
Prior to IFC, Joseph worked with National Bank of Canada (NBC) first as Senior Cybersecurity Advisor and then as Information Security Advisor. During his mandate he conducted several threat modelling, risk assessments and security architecture reviews for applications and infrastructure deployed in different cloud environments.
