Katya Skogen is a researcher with the consumer insights team in the Gartner for Marketers business. She currently covers topics that include marketing concepts, consumer lifestages and other signature research projects that span consumer segments and industry categories. In the last four years, she had studied consumer sentiment and attitudes toward Amazon, multicultural consumers' tech adoption, consumer attitudes toward AI-assisted product discovery and selection as well as large cultural and societal shifts that affect consumer attitudes and behaviors.
Ms. Skogen began her carrier at ExxonMobil in Kazakhstan. During her seven years with the company, she has fulfilled a variety of roles and served different business functions - from Public Affairs and General Management to Human Resources and Procurement. She has developed and implemented various business processes and applied her research skills to ensure business unit efficiency, informed decision making and regulatory compliance.
