His research covers the finance technology market end to end to include: cloud ERP, enterprise performance management, planning and close, AI and agentic AI adoption, AI governance, and the shift from project-based to product-based funding. Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Marion spent more than 15 years in progressive leadership roles across FP&A, IT finance, project management, and business analytics with Deloitte Consulting, LLP, Honeywell International Space & Defense, Atkins North America, and most recently Raymond James Financial, Inc. At Raymond James he led IT finance for the firm's technology division, owning budgeting, forecasting, and the technology investment portfolio, and building the cost allocation, investment governance, and cost transparency frameworks that let leaders manage spend across run, grow, and transform. Throughout his career, Mr. Marion has built high-performing teams and delivered strategic planning, systems implementations, continuous improvement, and risk mitigation in demanding environments.
