Mark Margevicius is a vice president and research director in Gartner Research, where his research covers Infrastructure and Operations Leadership, skills development, organizational structures, and organizational maturity. In addition, Mr. Margevicius covers DevOps and helping customers move from Project-based initiatives to Product-based initiatives. He is also knowledgeable in the areas of Desktop Virtualization, VDI, desktop as a service (DaaS), server based computing (SBC), end user computing trends, and client computing architectures.
Most recently, Mr. Margevicius was a Director of End User Computing Strategy for VMWare. Prior to VMWare he was a VP Analyst with Gartner covering a wide variety of End User topics including VDI, server-based computing, PC hardware, and thin clients. He also managed enterprise client computing for KeyBank, where he was responsible for engineering, support, vendor management, product selection, standards creation policies and strategic planning for KeyBank's 25,000 installed PCs.
