Mike Lowndes is a digital commerce technology expert in the Sales Tech team which resides in GSL. Research includes topics such as architecting a commerce platform, digital commerce platforms, composable commerce, APIs, search and content management for commerce. Dr. Lowndes has over two decades of experience in digital commerce, web content management, search, and overall software development leadership and architecture.
Before joining Gartner, Dr. Lowndes was the Digital Architect responsible for the technical platform and roadmap at Travelodge Hotels and previously Which? (The U.K.'s Consumer Association) including vendor selection, integration and performance management. His first websites and intranet were for the University of Oxford during his academic career, which was followed by 9 years evolving the website, intranet and gallery interactives for The Natural History Museum (London).
