Miriam Burt is Practice Vice President of Gartner's Manufacturing, Transportation, Retail, and Consumer Goods practice. In her current leadership role, she drives strategic content and talent development to empower CIOs as transformative technology leaders.
Miriam also serves as the Regional Research Lead for Emerging Markets, focusing on the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
With over 20 years at Gartner and a background as a technology solutions architect, Miriam has a sharp focus on technologies that accelerate business performance and profitability. Her career at Gartner has spanned multiple roles, each contributing to her reputation as a trusted advisor and thought leader in the intersection of business and technology.
Prior to joining Gartner, Ms. Burt gained retail experience with B&Q plc, the operating company of Kingfisher Group, Europe's largest DIY retailer. She was lead business analyst in Systems Solutions, where she was internal operations business change analyst supporting business units of Retail Operations, Commercial and Supply Chain areas. Previous experience includes two years in higher education in the U.K. as MIS consultant on student management, HR and finance systems, as well as six years of experience in NHS in the U.K. working with a variety of healthcare systems.
