Prior to her current leadership position, Monica spent 17 years as a Gartner Research analyst and thought leader, advising CIOs and senior technology executives on digital workplace strategy, digital transformation, innovation, collaboration technologies, and the evolving impact of technology on organizations and society. She helped clients build strategies to improve workforce effectiveness, accelerate digital business initiatives, and pursue emerging technologies to drive business value. Throughout her analyst career, she led research and advisory efforts across a broad range of technology domains, including Content Collaboration Platforms (CCP), Enterprise File Synchronization and Sharing (EFSS), modern content services, enterprise mobility, and mobile collaboration. Her work provided strategic guidance on how organizations could transform work practices, improve information and knowledge management, and enable new digital ways of working. She was recognized for her maverick research on the human and organizational implications of mobile and social networking emerging technology, social and behavioral trends influencing technology adoption, and the effects of generational change on the workforce and IT leadership. Before joining Gartner, Monica held technical and management roles in the IT industry, including positions at Alcatel and TXT e-solutions, where she led business development, product and business unit management, large-scale European IT projects, and software engineering initiatives.
