Paul Mezzera is a Senior Director Analyst within Gartner for Technical Professionals (GTP) team. Mr. Mezzera's primary focus areas are identity governance and administration (IGA), privileged access management (PAM), customer IAM (CIAM), cloud infrastructure entitlements management (CIEM), and IAM architecture and program management.
Prior to his current role at Gartner, Mr. Mezzera managed the identity and access management shared services at McKesson, evolving the team from a single service to a global geographically distributed infrastructure and team which provided all facets of identity services using a hybrid on-premises and cloud-based architecture for servicing both workforce and customer identities. He was also instrumental in migrating the team to the scaled agile enterprise framework (SAFe), accelerating the delivery of privileged access management and directory security, and customer authentication and administration product features to both improve user experience/productivity and security through multifactor authentication. Prior to McKesson, he worked in the finance industry with varying technical roles as a systems and data communication programmer and engineer, and then as a web security and IAM architect.
