Philip Walsh is a Senior Principal Analyst in the Software Engineering Practice. He helps software engineering leaders develop and implement strategies to build a world-class software engineering organization. He focuses on the impact of generative AI on software development, including developer experience and productivity, as well as leadership and organizational design.
Prior to joining Gartner Philip was a philosophy professor. He earned his PhD in philosophy, and has published and taught on topics including philosophy of mind and cognitive science, as well as the ethics of emerging technology.
