Ranjit Atwal is a Research Director in Gartner's Quantitive Innovation team. Mr. Atwal is responsible for managing Gartner's research on Quantifying markets by comparing how future usage of technology fulfils users' needs. These include all devices, wearables, chatbots and smart devices. A key question is what new and different product choices have driven AI and voice technologies. The forecast is built on published research around use cases and choice modelling. Some of his latest research - "Size Your Market Opportunity Using the Personal Technology Attractiveness Index" and "A User-Driven Segmentation for Deploying Artificial Intelligence Solutions", as well as "Technology Product Manager's Guide to Valuable Use Cases for Wearables." Mr. Atwal is often quoted in the press in publications such as The Economist.
Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Atwal was an intelligence analyst with the Occupational Pensions Regulatory Authority, where he managed the research and intelligence unit.
