Sally Parker is an Analyst in Gartner's global Data and Analytics (D&A) practice. She is Gartner's global Research Agenda lead for D&A Governance. Her coverage areas include 1) Creating and a strong Value Proposition for D&A through a Business Outcome Led D&A Strategy, 2) Data Governance, 3) Master Data Management (MDM), and 4) Data-Driven Culture. Practically oriented, she frequently reviews D&A Strategies, Governance Strategies, Executive and Board Presentations, and provides practical guidance on prioritization of effort and navigating the human centric challenges to deliver business value from D&A.

Previous experience

Following her passion for all things data-driven, Ms. Parker rejoined the analyst community in 2018 following a 2-year sabbatical with Gartner's Executive Programs supporting a group of Gartner's CxO clients directly. Prior to joining Gartner, Ms. Parker chaired the Stanford Australia Melbourne Chapter. She was Research Director for Cloud and Data-Driven Intelligence at IDC and a regular keynote speaker on digital transformation and emerging technologies. Prior to this she held consulting, technology and product management/marketing roles with vendors including Red Hat (USA), and HP (Europe, USA, Australia). She is a dog lover and Francophile.
