Saul Brand is a Senior Research Director in the Enterprise Architecture and Technology Innovation team. He leads research on starting, restarting and advancing the capabilities of EA programs. Mr. Brand focuses on using business architecture and enterprise architecture to drive digital business transformation and business outcomes. He is actively involved in research covering "The Future of EA" to bridge the gap between strategy and execution and integrating business and IT. Previously, Mr. Brand led the research community on the emerging topic of digital business platforms. He also focused on EA consultancies and EA tools, researching and helping clients get the best value from large global EA service providers and researching the functionality, selection and implementation of EA tools. He was the lead analyst and author for the Magic Quadrant for EA consultancies and EA tools.
Mr. Brand has a broad and diverse background in strategy, finance and technology, with 15 years of experience in the banking, media, entertainment and consumer products industries. Prior to joining Gartner, he worked at The Walt Disney Co. as a Business Technology Partner for corporate, establishing the enterprise architecture competency center. Previously, Mr. Brand held various finance and strategy positions at banking, biotech and telecom companies, where he initiated and led technology enabled business transformation projects, including systems selection and implementation.
