Sharon Hakkennes is an Analyst in Healthcare. Prior to joining Gartner, she was a CIO at a large health service in Australia. Her areas of expertise include clinical engagement and change management, strategy development with a focus on the intersection between ICT and business strategies, information management, data and analytics, and ICT shared services delivery in the healthcare environment.
Ms. Hakkennes has a clinical background (physiotherapy) and has completed a Doctorate and M.B.A.
Ms. Hakkennes held the position of CIO at Barwon Health for 3.5 years, prior to that she was employed as the Director, Health Informatics. She has also previously held numerous senior operational healthcare management and clinical leadership positions.
She holds an honorary Associate Professor role within the Faculty of Business and Law at Deakin University in the Health M.B.A. program.
