Simone Cleminson is a Sr. Principal Research Analyst in Gartner, where she is part of the IT Sourcing Procurement and Vendor Management Leaders Worldwide team. Her research efforts are focused on Microsoft licensing and contract negotiation planning, strategy and best practices, evaluation of Microsoft's various volume licensing models and programs, contract reviews, and analysis of pricing proposals.
Before joining Gartner, Simone worked in the role of a Microsoft advisory consultant for a Microsoft Reseller and specialized in UK Public Sector contracts. Simone worked mainly on Microsoft software reviews advising on how best to reconcile inventory data (what software they had installed on what devices) against license entitlement and preparing them for their annual order and EA renewals. She delivered reports detailing their current license position, offering advice on how to cost-effectively mitigate any risk and recommending the best license models to adopt and best practices going forward to help them stay in control of their software licenses.
