Sr Director Analyst

Dr. Sridhar Srinivasan is a Senior Director Analyst in Gartner Research based in Gartner's Bangalore office. He is part of the Semiconductor and Electronics research team within the Emerging Technologies and Trends group and leads research in the areas of power semiconductors, energy harvesting, battery technologies, analog and mixed signal semiconductors and new semiconductor materials (silicon carbide, gallium nitride, etc.).

Besides tracking the emerging technology trends through patent and competitive landscape analysis and market forecasting and market share analysis, Dr Srinivasan advises product leaders and strategic planners in technology service provider and end-user organizations on technology commercialization strategy, competitive positioning and differentiation, and product roadmap development for semiconductor and electronics markets.

Previous experience

Prior to joining Gartner's Semiconductors & Electronics group, Dr. Srinivasan worked as Manager in General Electric's R&D Center, where he led a team on technology commercialization strategies for key GE technologies in the semiconductor, aviation and healthcare domain. He was responsible for assessing the readiness, differentiation, and competitiveness of GE's technologies besides patent valuation. Dr. Srinivasan led technology commercialization programs related to wide bandgap semiconductors (silicon carbide, gallium nitride), electronics packaging, optoelectronic devices and Healthcare technologies. He has 20 years of R&D experience in academia and industry.
