Dr. Sridhar Srinivasan is a Senior Director Analyst in Gartner India Research based in Gartner's Bangalore office. He is part of the AI Silicon Infrastructure and Economics research team within the Emerging Market Dynamics group and leads research in the areas of Semiconductor Foundry and Advanced Semiconductor Packaging market and technologies. Dr Srinivasan advises product leaders and strategic planners on market dynamics and technology trends related to semiconductor manufacturing, advanced process and packaging technologies. He also covers silicon photonics and wide bandgap (SiC, GaN) foundry markets. Dr. Srinivasan is a regular speaker at international conferences on wide bandgap semiconductor technologies and semiconductor manufacturing strategy implementation.
Prior to joining Gartner's AI Silicon Infrastructure team, Dr. Srinivasan was the CEO of Gallium Nitride Ecosystem Enabling Center and Incubator (GEECI), where he led the establishment of a gallium nitride (GaN) semiconductor foundry in India covering fabrication, metrology, and packaging tools, and collaborating extensively with semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment suppliers, wafer/materials supply chain partners, and gallium nitride device design companies as part of the foundry implementation. Previously Dr. Sridhar was a IP and Technology Commercialization Manager in General Electric's R&D Center, where he led technology commercialization programs related to wide bandgap semiconductors (silicon carbide, gallium nitride), electronics packaging, optoelectronic devices and Healthcare technologies. He has over 25 years of R&D experience in academia and industry.
