Srujan serves as a Principal Researcher within Gartner's Emerging Market Dynamics practice, part of the High Tech & Invest (HTI) Group. He is a key member of the Forecast and Market Share (FMS) team where he is the forecast lead for the Internet of Things (IoT) market. As such, Mr. Srujan is responsible for covering a wide range of IoT endpoints, including—but not limited to—industrial robots, retail/ warehouse robots, intra logistics robots, commercial drones, vehicles, connected heavy trucks, connected cars, smart building, signages, enterprise wearables and AR/VR, medical devices, and energy management. His coverage spans more than 40 use cases across 11 sectors, such as electricity meters, indoor surveillance, manufacturing process automation, manufacturing execution and management, customer communication in retail, automotive aftermarket, traffic management, agriculture management, fleet telematics, construction monitoring, electric vehicle charging stations, connected lighting, smart grid, mining operations, air transport, hospital tracking, retail tracking, chronic condition management in terms of the electronics —including Edge AI— and the communications services (including 5G, Satellite among others) revenue opportunity, for which he is developing the storyline and the assumptions based on supply and demand factors. In addition, Srujan is currently focused on assessing the market potential of digital twins and Physical AI hardware in robotics.
Previously, Mr. Srujan was the forecast lead for Gartner's Services market, where he had developed and maintained the forecast models, while taking part in the services vendors market share that is the foundation of market sizing.
