Tim Nelms is a research analyst in Gartner's Content and Collaboration Services team. He has extensive experience of content services (ECM), content collaboration technologies (EFSS), customer communications management (CCM), enterprise output management (EOM), archiving and e-presentment, accessibility and PDF. With over 30 years in the IT industry covering every role from software engineer to VP sales, Tim has a wide experience of the vendor landscape and a wide network. He has deep understanding of buying patterns in the industry and the practical challenges of migrating solutions deeply embedded into IT infrastructures.
By advising on technology selection and vendor evaluation, Tim helps improve buying decisions and ensure investments take account of both customer needs and vendor's abilities.
As VP International for Crawford Technologies, Tim was responsible for a team delivering sales, services and marketing for a range of EOM, CCM, ECM and accessibility solutions. During Tim's tenure the customer base more than doubled and NPS exceeded 75+.
