Tony Harvey is a Senior Director at Gartner. Mr. Harvey assists clients with evaluation, planning and delivering business value from technology investments. He provides strategic advice on directions for datacenter infrastructure, end user and edge computing as well as advising on RFPs, and vendor selection. He also provides vendors with advice on product requirements, product positioning, market messaging and competitive analysis.
Mr. Harvey's research areas include distributed and tethered cloud, hyperconverged solutions, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Server based computing (SBC), Desktop as a Service (DaaS), remote work, security threats related to firmware, hardware and supply chain, and emerging technologies impacting server architectures, including processor architectures, memory technologies and interconnects. In addition Mr. Harvey is the Gartner Lead Analyst for Citrix Systems.
Before joining Gartner, Mr. Harvey held product management roles at Lenovo, Cisco and HPE on blades and hyperconverged systems.
