Zachary Ginsburg is Director, Research in Gartner's Assurance Practice, where he leads research portfolios for Enterprise Risk Management Leaders. Currently, Zach leads research agendas on ERM processes and program management. His current research includes digitalizing the ERM function (including GRC tools); application of probabilistic risk assessment and other advanced risk analysis models in ERM; risk interdependence analysis; risk and risk appetite/tolerance quantification; and tactics to assess and change risk culture.
Zach's previous experience includes serving ERM leaders and Chief Audit Executives, leading research agendas on risk response strategies, audit planning and audit risk coverage. He previously worked in Gartner's Information Technology Leaders and Technical Professionals Practice as part of the IT Infrastructure & Operations Research Team, where he led research initiatives on cloud strategy, I&O in agile and new ways of working, IT talent management, IT leadership effectiveness and more. He is a career-long research and consulting professional, having previously served as a research associate in the public safety and emergency management field and as a freelance go-to-market consultant.
