This summary contains input from thirteen members regarding their approaches to supplier assurance. We begin this summary by discussing the maturity of members' supplier assurance practices. Next, we examine the type and number of services members consider to be in-scope for supplier assurance. We then take a look at the tools and techniques members use, including automation practices and exceptions to standards and baselines, as well as use of supplier audit reports. We follow by exploring how standards of sufficiency are employed at member companies, including the standards' relations to existing report structures such as SOC or SOX. We close with an analysis of members' fourth-party validation and key success factors in this area.
