This Consult the Board survey summary features perspectives from 52 Gartner Research Board for Global CIOs and Technology Infrastructure Research Board members regarding their investment in Microsoft 365 Copilot. It describes members’ position on the use of Copilot across business units, the metrics they use to measure the value of the tool, and their views on Copilot’s return on investment (ROI).

A plurality of respondents (24 of 52, or 46%) are piloting Microsoft 365 Copilot with a small group of knowledge workers.
For a significant majority of respondents (28 of 31, or 87%), the most common business unit where they use Microsoft 365 Copilot is technology.
The majority of respondents (26 of 30, or 87%) use an ad-hoc feedback loop as their approach to determine whether Microsoft 365 Copilot has provided value.
Most respondents (24 of 30, or 80%) determine the value of Microsoft 365
