This Consult the Board survey summary features inputs from 18 Information Risk Management Research Board members regarding their approaches to implementing agile in the cybersecurity organizations. It covers members’ position on agile implementation, the security areas in which they have implemented agile, and recommendations for successful agile ways of working (WoW).

Nearly three-fourths of the respondents (13 of 18, or 72%) have fully implemented agile across or in some areas of their cybersecurity organization.
Among the various security areas, most respondents (10 of 13) have implemented agile in the security engineering and operations area.
DevSecOps, application, and product management was the first area of agile implementation at half of the respondents’ organizations (6 of 12).
