This Consult the Board survey summary features insights from 37 Gartner Research Board for Global CIOs, Data and Analytics Research Board, and Strategic Sourcing Research Board members regarding the key suppliers supporting their AI strategies. The summary rates these key suppliers’ product offerings and provides rationale for such ratings.

Of the five AI model providers, OpenAI received the most favorable rating, with 84% of the respondents rating them either “very strong” or “strong.” Anthropic came in second with 34% of the respondents rating them favorably.
Of the nine cloud data platforms, Microsoft received the most favorable rating with 84% of the respondents rating them either “very strong” or “strong.” Amazon came in second with 52% rating them favorably.
