企業が検討しているランサムウェアへの備えは、曖昧な認識の共有にとどまり、実際のインシデント発生時には、意味を成さないことも多い。実際に、対処に多くの費用を費やした上、多大な業務ダメージを受けるケースも発生している。本リサーチノートでは、SRMリーダーが事前に済ませておくべき「準備」について解説する。
Gartnerが日本国内で実施した調査では、ランサムウェアに感染しても、「身代金の支払いは行わない方針でルール化している」という企業は24.8%に過ぎない。
ランサムウェア感染時に、端末やサーバのログ、ネットワークの痕跡などの統合的な分析を実施できる企業は少ない。情報不足から対処や被害の公表のタイミングなどを判断できず、そうした遅れが、情報隠蔽などの風評被害を招く可能性がある。
国内を見ると、ランサムウェア被害からの復旧を考慮してバックアップ体制を改善している企業は少ない。現状のバックアップでは完全な復旧に時間を要し、事業停止期間が長期に及ぶ恐れがある。これはもはや、経営リスクとも言える。
ランサムウェアに感染した場合のビジネス・インパクトを分析し、対応に関する合意形成に加え、インシデントの公表、ユーザーへの報告、公的機関への届け出など、具体的な対応フローを確立する。
インシデントの全体像を把握するために、ログや痕跡の分析体制を整え、必要に応じて支援を受けられるよう、セキュリティ専門サービス会社との連携や、リテーナー・サービスの契約を検討する。
ランサムウェア被害からの回復力を上げるため、バックアップ・データの改ざん防止／保護と、復旧の迅速化に向けた施策を導入する。まずは、具体的な施策とコストを早急に把握するため、ベンダー数社への提案と見積を要請する。
