It discusses members’ approaches to creating a dedicated AI policy, the scope of such policies, and the roles that sponsor and maintain these AI policies.

Most respondents (9 of 13) combine a dedicated AI policy with other existing policies in their organizations to cover all elements of AI.
The scope of respondents’ dedicated AI policy includes AI usage, covering guidelines on AI solutions that are internally developed or purchased from third parties (all 9 respondents), as well as AI governance, covering roles responsible for making decisions (8 of 9).
Respondents’ AI policy addresses various areas, such as third-party AI models (all 8 respondents) and AI-supported software (7 of 8).
