パスワードレスの多要素認証への移行が進んではいるものの、パスワードは依然として多くのユースケースで使われており、リスク要因や、ユーザーのフラストレーションの大きな原因となっている。セキュリティ／リスク・マネジメントのリーダーは、明確かつ実用的で遵守しやすい、シンプルで効果的なポリシーを策定する必要がある。
多くのパスワード・ポリシーは複雑、不親切、曖昧であるため、読み手の側には、どの場面でどのルールが適用されるのか、どのような行動が期待されるのかが伝わりにくい。
