This Consult the Board survey summary features inputs from seven Data and Analytics Research Board members regarding the impact of advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) and GenAI on their workforce. It outlines members’ views on the productivity gains from GenAI in various business areas, the impact of AI and GenAI on job levels, and the potential areas of AI and/or GenAI-enabled process improvements.

Most respondents (5 of 7) state that AI adoption will decrease the net number of human jobs in their organizations by 2036.
Five respondents each (of 7) expect high level of productivity gains in disciplines, such as customer services or contact centers and marketing, as a result of new capabilities and enhancements delivered by GenAI in the next two years.
Most respondents (5 of 7) believe that paraprofessional or support roles will experience the greatest impact of AI and/or GenAI
