  • Employee support for change management initiatives is decreasing, according to the 2022 Gartner Workforce Change Fatigue Survey. This requires heads of enterprise risk management (ERM) to rely on top-down incentives to encourage adoption.

  • Governance, risk and compliance (GRC) tool implementations take more than one year from selection to reach full functionality, with a contributing factor being time required to assess inclusion across a complex set of risk product modules and risk management functionality.

  • Fifty-four percent of heads of ERM find it either “challenging” or “extremely challenging” to train staff to use GRC tools. This makes it difficult to onboard users
