Dalan Rohrer is an Associate Director within Gartner Consulting's Data and Market Analytics and Infra and Ops practices focused on delivery to high tech, telecommunications, and private equity customers. Mr. Rohrer has rich, hands-on experience in business to business (B2B) go-to-market strategy/marketing/sales, the cloud computing competitive landscape, and data, analytics, and AI product positioning including virtual assistant/bot, data science/machine learning (ML), Internet of Things (IoT), structured/unstructured database (Hadoop, data lake, data warehouse), and data visualization (Tableau/Power BI). In addition, Mr. Rohrer has studied marketing and analytics and has experience in critical, B2B and business to consumer (B2C) customer-facing roles in both technology and retail.
He has joined Gartner from Microsoft, where he was an enterprise sales specialist for cloud data, analytics, and AI solutions and help lead customers in a variety of technology projects ranging from data estate modernization strategies to AI product integrations to IoT strategies. He also worked in retail for four years at Target, both as a buyer (and P&L owner) and internal operations consultant, and is familiar with retail and grocery operations, KPIs, strategies, and challenges.
