Eric Trenk is a Vice President, Analyst in Gartner's Technology and Service Provider organization. Mr. Trenk provides research and advisory services to large, midsized and emerging technology vendor organizations on implementing successful product management practices, focusing on product strategy, pricing and product-led growth.
Mr. Trenk has more than 20 years of high-technology industry experience spanning software, hardware and technology services. He has led efforts to launch new products, create innovation strategies in mature organizations, transition on-premise software to SaaS, prioritize R&D initiatives, and align engineering, sales, and marketing functions to support product roadmaps. He has held leadership roles with two venture-backed technology vendors that have successfully grown and been acquired by public companies.
Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Trenk was responsible for product management for the Master Data Management Software portfolio at IBM. Mr. Trenk began his career as an engineer working on the design and manufacture of personal computers.
