A native Spanish speaker with extensive coverage of Latin America for 20 years, Mr. De Silva Leon helps clients and end-user organizations with market and technology strategies in this important emerging region. He is currently chairman of Gartner's IT Infrastructure, Operations & Cloud Strategies Summit in Mexico City.

Previous experience

Prior to his current research role, Mr. De Silva Leon was part of Gartner Consulting, developing marketing and branding benchmarking studies for technology providers. Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. De Silva Leon was a research assistant at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) in Palo Alto, California, where he worked on research projects related to environmental regulations and their impact on the electric utility industry.
