Sr Director Analyst

Jon Chang is a Senior Director Analyst in Gartner's Business and Technology Insights (BTI) teams. He focuses on AI's Impact on Future of Work and partners with global CHROs and executive leaders to navigate and prepare for future ready workforce. Jon is passionate about human-AI partnerships for a future ready workforce and engages with industry leaders to insights on topics including but not limited to AI's impact on skills and talent strategy, building AI-ready workforce, future of work trends, and talent implications on value-driven AI-transformations.

Previous experience

Prior to Gartner, Jon has nearly two decades of global HR leadership experience, most recently as the Director of Human Resources and People Strategy at Western Canada's largest automotive retail group working with OEM partners such as Toyota, Porsche, BMW, Volkswagen, Lexus, Honda, Jaguar Land Rover, Mazda, Hyundai, and General Motors.

Jon oversaw full-cycle Talent Management and Strategy, and introduced AI augmentation and operation innovation best practices to drive human-AI partnerships as well as helped the organization drive skill count transformation for future-ready workforce. Jon has also lead 14+ M&A talent integration efforts in both Canada and the U.S.

His earlier roles is within human resources and spans from global banking, and advisory work across Canada, U.S, and Asia. Jon has lived abroad in Canada, U.K., Germany, and Taiwan. Jon is fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese, and Taiwanese.
