Alan D. Duncan

Alan Duncan is Vice President for Data and Analytics Strategy and Chief Data Officer (CDO) research at Gartner. He is a recognized authority and executive leader in the fields of data strategy, business analytics, data-driven culture and business change, data governance, and data quality. In a career spanning over 26 years, Mr. Duncan has provided strategic advice for world-class data management, business intelligence, data warehousing, master data management, document management and knowledge management solutions. He has worked with clients in a diverse range of industry sectors, including telecommunications, financial services, retail, state and federal government, natural resources, utilities, and manufacturing. Many of his clients have been international businesses operating across multiple countries, and he has worked in the U.K., France, Germany, the Netherlands, the U.S., Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Australia. He is also an Associate Member of Faculty at University College Cork (UCC), where he lectures on the MSc programs for Data Business and Digital Health.

Brook Selassie

Brook Selassie is a vice president in the Corporate Strategy Advisory practice at Gartner, specializing in digital transformation, disruptive growth strategies, and business model innovation. He has a 17-year track record of advising strategy and M&A executives and CEOs at large global companies.

Annie Duke

Annie Duke has leveraged her expertise in the science of smart decision making to excel at pursuits as varied as championship poker to public speaking. For two decades, Annie was one of the top poker players in the world. In 2004, she bested a field of 234 players to win her first World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet. As a professional poker player, Ms. Duke was awarded a National Science Foundation Fellowship to study Cognitive Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania. Marrying her academic studies in cognitive psychology with decision making lessons gained through her experience at the poker table, Ms. Duke now spends her time writing, coaching and speaking on a range of topics such as decision fitness, emotional control, productive decision groups and embracing uncertainty. Annie is a master storyteller, having performed three times for The Moth, an organization that preserves the art of spoken word storytelling. Ms. Duke has written five books and raised more than $18 million for charities. She is a cofounder of HowIDecide.org, a member of the National Board of After-School All-Stars and a member of the NationSwell Council. In 2016 she joined the board of directors of the Franklin Institute, one of America’s oldest and greatest science museums.
