Gary Olliffe is a Distinguished VP Analyst with the Application Platform Strategies (APS) team in Gartner for Technical Professionals (GTP). Mr. Olliffe covers a range of technical topics, including application architecture, service-oriented architecture, microservices, event-driven architecture, APIs design, API management and application integration.
Mr. Olliffe previously led the enterprise architecture team at Mercer (a global leader in talent, benefits and investment consulting services, with 22,000 employees in more than 40 countries), responsible for application platform and solution architecture, standards and strategy across the enterprise portfolio. During his tenure, he reported to the global CIO and worked closely with global line-of-business CIOs. He was also responsible for M&A IT due diligence review and integration planning.
