Gartner Says Reports of Mobile Device Cybersecurity Threats in Sochi Olympics Are Not Unique; It Could Happen to You at Your Local Coffee Shop

Gartner analysts said it’s important to understand that these threats are not isolated to Sochi; they could happen to anyone, anywhere.

Paul Proctor, vice president and distinguished analyst at Gartner, pointed out in a blog post that it’s important to remember that people are not really “safe” anywhere, and that your behavior is the deciding factor in your risk of being hacked, regardless of your location.
