FastLake* creates a learning environment where finance employees are interested in, engage with and apply new digital skills. By removing some digital technologies’ common adoption barriers, employees can focus on directly applying their newfound skills to common day-to-day problems. By implementing this approach, FastLake*: (1) developed digital skills by exposing more than 800 finance employees to using advanced technologies (such as SaaS), producing technology capabilities and incorporating technology into day-to-day work, (2) increased the number of finance employees considered to be digital talent, evident through 15 completed digital projects, and (3) gave finance employees with no prior technology background the opportunity to transition into dedicated technology roles such as digital leads and analysts.
