Marko Pukkila is a Vice President, Team Manager in the Gartner Supply Chain Research group. He leads the Supply Chain Planning team that does research and provides advice on a wide range of supply chain topics, from Long-range strategic supply chain planning to Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE). The team consists of leading experts on the core planning capabilities, including demand, supply and inventory planning. The team has expertise in change management, organizational structures for planning teams, and planning metrics and their alignment to business metrics and objectives.
The Gartner Supply Chain Planning team helps Supply Chain Executives and their planning leaders to achieve transformative change to organizational mindsets toward planning, and to the planning specific business processes.
Mr. Pukkila himself focuses on end-to-end supply chain planning as strategic business capability. He is the lead architect of the Gartner Supply Chain Score for Planning.
Mr. Pukkila joined Gartner with a 19-year career at Honeywell International. He held key leadership roles in supply chain and operations IT, and was the leader of the global supply chain planning organization. In his supply chain leader role he was a member of the business unit leadership team, and was responsible for driving the S&OP process, and all supply chain planning and execution activities throughout the division. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
