Impacts and Recommendations

  • During the past five years, it has become commercially feasible to deploy ITOA technology, which adds inferential capabilities to event- and performance-monitoring systems, enabling IT operations teams to partially automate insight into data
  • ITOA systems support model discovery, ascertain root causes of performance problems, assess the impacts of multiple known root causes, predict events and recommend remediation; model discovery is the basis of the other four use cases, and enhances and transforms other IT operations disciplines, such as configuration management and capacity planning
