The DRAM market will see significant oversupply for most of 2023, as negative bit production by DRAM vendors is not enough to counter weak end demand and inflated inventory. Revenue in 2023 will decline by 39% but a move to undersupply in 2024 will see revenue increase by 87% as pricing rebounds.

  • The DRAM market will remain oversupplied through 3Q23, and then move into undersupply from 4Q23 through all of 2024 and into 2025.

  • Server DRAM pricing will decrease 20% sequentially in 1Q23 and decline another 9% and 3% in 2Q23 and 3Q23, respectively, due to the oversupply.

  • Server DRAM pricing will increase about 21% in 4Q23, followed by 29% in 1Q24 and 27% in 2Q24 as the market becomes undersupplied.
