Overview
Impacts
Impact 1: Respecting the intellectual property (IP) of others. Organizations using GenAI services often don’t know and can’t control what training data was used, and may therefore inadvertently benefit from the IP of others and open themselves up to litigation.
Impact 2: Protecting your own IP. Users of GenAI services offer information to these services through prompts, and in some cases this data can be added to the model or method, potentially sharing the user organization’s IP.
Impact 3: Developing new IP. Users of GenAI services are empowered to create artifacts (such as content and data) and processes for their business
