Overview
Key Findings
Early adopters of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) have generally found the lack of industry-specific solutions a challenge. This has prompted manyto custom-build or co-develop with partners, which is often expensive, drains resources and might not produce solutions that meet their industry’s needs.
Vertical GenAI-based solutions are, however, emerging, from both large and niche vendors, that offer more options for buyers. When available, these may be good choices for buyers who want cost-efficient implementations and industry content prepared by a vendor, as opposed to large in-house development efforts.
For success with GenAI, use cases should drive technology selection, not the reverse.
