I&O leaders are aggressively pursuing IT operations technologies with 56% in deployment phases, 44% in pilot and none in the planning phase. All of the technologies in the deployment phase are expected to be fully implemented by year-end 2024.
Improving speed and agility was the most cited primary value factor for adoption of technologies in the operations wedge with 50% of the vote share, followed by enabling resilience and reliability at 25%.
Cybersecurity risks and technical incompatibility remain the biggest challenges to the adoption of technologies in the operations wedge while high or unpredictable costs are a rising concern.
